Salesupply has added a fulfillment center and returns hub in Switzerland. It sits in Embrach, in the canton of Zurich, minutes from Zurich Airport and its customs infrastructure. Switzerland is the newest addition to our international fulfillment network, enabling brands to hold stock locally, ship domestically and process returns inside the country instead of carrying the border on every order.

This matters more in Switzerland than almost anywhere else in Europe. Switzerland sits outside the EU customs union, so every parcel you send from Germany, the Netherlands, France or anywhere else in the EU counts as a formal import. It is a wealthy, high-spending ecommerce market, and Swiss shoppers expect the same customer experience they get from local shops.

The margin you stop losing by stocking locally

For most cross-border brands, the Swiss border creates cost in two places:
• Ship the standard cross-border way and the customer pays for the order at checkout, then can get charged again on delivery: Swiss import VAT, standard currently 8.1%, plus a carrier handling fee.

• Returns are the second cost, and the one brands underestimate most. A return from Switzerland to an EU warehouse is not a reverse delivery, it is a re-import. Handle it wrong and you can incur unnecessary import VAT and customs-clearance costs on top of the cost of the return itself.

With stock already in Switzerland, both sources of friction disappear from the customer journey: orders ship domestically at one clean price, and returns stay in-country instead of crossing the border again.

The conversion you unlock: Digitec Galaxus

As Switzerland’s leading online retailer, Galaxus puts a premium on the things local fulfillment improves: availability, delivery speed and reliable returns. Delivery time and availability influence how offers perform on the platform, service levels are closely monitored, and marketplace sellers need a Swiss returns address. Local fulfillment puts the infrastructure behind those requirements in place from day one.

A global fulfillment network, now with a Swiss node

The Swiss center runs on the same setup as the rest of our fulfillment locations across three continents: one IT integration, one real-time stock dashboard, and daily operations watched by our Fulfillment Control Tower, so disruptions get caught before they reach your customer.

If you already fulfill with us elsewhere, Switzerland is another node, not another project. If you are entering the market for the first time, you get local stock, clean checkout pricing, Swiss VAT and customs handling, and domestic returns from day one.
